this is very exciting!
I couldn't be happier! But I want to warn everybody and ask them if you're going to share your banners don't forget to put your name in small prints on it. (6-8 points in a corner)
Because when you share them, they'll get downloaded and re-uploaded and without your name on them, all the information is lost... and it will become harder to tell who designed this banner in time... (and worse: who is the actual owner of the copyrights)
The desings that VOX released, are tagged by software to give copyright to the designer (it appears in one of your collumns beneath "Powered by Vox"), the customised ones aren't and don't give that notice!

Thank you if you want to share your banners! But be smart and add your copyright! It won't harm your design ;-)

BTW if you add it horizontal in the lowest right corner, and you made your banner 940px (width) by 200px, the copyright won't be seen on the blog but still will be there, so no interferance with your bannerdesign at all and protected ;-)
Is there a way to discern if a banner is available for others to use? That is, how can we tell if the creator has selected the "Share this Banner" option?

I know this is a new feature and that the kinks still need to be ironed out, but what steps should we follow if we come across stolen banners? (I've already seen your Pansy banner and Team Vox's blossom banner used on others' blogs, and I'm not sure they were used with permission.)

Also, would there be a way to determine if the banner in question is used with permission before flooding the Vox staff with potential copyright violation notices?

I know people can get a bit over zealous with this new (and amazing) customized banner option, and I don't want to see anyone being taken advantage of.
I think that the tagging of the banner with "share this banner" should be the indicator that the banner is available for use -- the pansy banner, for example, had been tagged "share this banner." Overall, I think custom banners should be a fun feature and that people shouldn't get too upset if they see their banner somewhere else -- it's a sign of flattery.
I understand you have to add the phrase "share this banner" to your tags if you want to share it... If a banner hasn't got that tagg I wouldn't touch it unless the owner gives explicit approval in his comments.
Their is also a voxgroup ( called "Vox Banners") created to share banners: all banners posted in that group are free to use...
oops too late ;-)

i've made 3 banners to share... i personally dont worry about them being used elsewhere.. I know I have the originals and I'm the only one with those shots... so... yeah..
:)
made more... ! :) i love this...
So I've got a question about Share This Banner etiquette: I used a banner by Jule and so I saved it and added it to my own photos on Vox. I made sure to tag it "share this banner" but I definitely don' t want people to think I was the creator. I want credit to go to the original poster. How do we preserve that? I put their Vox URL in the caption of the photo, but I doubt everyone will see that. Thoughts? Should I have not tagged it "share this banner" since it's not mine? That seems kind of weird. It should be able to spread, if more people use it.

The custom banners are cool but what if we'd like to upload a custom stylesheet, or not even necessarily upload, just somewhere i could put a link to an external stylesheet? Maybe i'd like to adjust the colors and typefaces in my blog, or say none of the background patterns fit my new banner either, perhaps i'd like to override it with my own. Right now i'm stuck to create within the palette options, which no offense mostly appear colorful, bubbly, and metro (i.e. not for everyone). I understand the benefits of having limited user control, but it would be nice to see some sort of compensation for more advanced users.

The best way to boost your brand exposure, advertising and marketing, Thats perfect for trade shows / expo's / lobbies / point-of-sales / exhibitions / conferences by the help of innovative banner stand display and large format printing service because links are not that visible as compare to banner ads.
